Grens Boskombuis en Menasie - Border Bush Kitchen and Mess

Hieronder is 'n paar foto's van 'n tipiese styl grens / bos kombuis en menasie tente wat gebruik word in Suidwes-Afrika en grens kampe in die algemeen. Hierdie 250 man stowe was ongelooflik doeltreffend en toegelaat sjefs warm maaltye voor te berei vir die hele boskamp tot 1000 mense binne een uur, met die veronderstelling dat al die toerusting en rantsoene  beskikbaar was met yskaste / vrieskaste en droe rantsoene vragmotors en water bowsers, gewoonlik Samil 100 trokke en kwevoels. Hulle was aangedryf deur LP gas wat kits en skoonbrande rookeloos brandende kook hitte voorsien..

Below are some images of a typical style border / bush kitchens and mess tents used in South West Africa and border camps. These 250 man stoves were incredibly efficient and allowed chefs to prepare hot meals for entire bush camps of up to 1000 men in an hour, assuming all rations were available with refrigerator / freezer and dry rations trucks, with water bowsers, usually Samil 100 trucks and kwevoels. They were powered by LP gas producing instant and clean burning cooking heat...
